John has produced hundreds of book cover illustrations and he is best known for science fiction work. His approach is quite unique and the originals are increasingly collectable. an avalanche of book cover paintings and not just scenes of Devon. He has produced many evocative earthly landscapes for both travel books (Dervla Murphy, Stanley Stewart, Benedict Allen) and for general fiction (Wilbur Smith, Sibyl Marshall, Elizabeth Jane Howard, William Boyd). When he has the time he also produces large oil paintings and smaller pastels which we also offer here.
