Robert Holdstock evening at the British Library

Getting to know Rob Holdstock was one of the absolute highlights of my association with science fiction and fantasy writing. Jim Burns produced covers for both Mythago Wood (top) and for The Fetch (centre) , and John Howe for Mythago Wood (bottom).

At a recent science fiction evening at the British Library, Brian Aldiss was asked to name what he felt was the most significant SF book of the 20th century and he immediately named Mythago Wood. I too was a tremendous fan of the book, and of the man.

The forthcoming evening at the British Library where Rob’s work will be discussed is something I look forward to very much and I would encourage anyone else who’s interested to book tickets in advance.
