The Last Space Shuttle

As this part of the space program comes to an end it seems appropriate to remind ourselves of the painting by John Harris, commissioned in 1985, when he witnessed the launch of the shuttle. The painting now hangs in the Kennedy Space Center and is the property of the Smithsonian Collection.

The original charcoal sketch he produced for it is for sale here.
